Dr. Allison Cuoco

Founder / Child Psychologist

Hi! I’m Dr. Allison Cuoco and I’m a child psychologist in Phoenix, Arizona. I currently work in private practice providing diagnostic evaluations and clinical interventions to children and adolescents, as well as working alongside their families as they navigate seeking support for their children. I have worked within the school setting for more than 10 years providing psychoeducational evaluations and consultation to public and charter schools. I’ve also taught undergraduate and graduate level psychology courses.

Being able to work directly with children and families in a way that helps them develop and grow led me toward opening my own practice several years ago. I love being able to connect families with the necessary resources they need at home, in the community, and at school.

In my free time, I love to have dinner parties with friends, read, try new restaurants, and spend time with my husband and two children.

Dr. Joy Goldberg-Ballentine

Founder / Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Hi! I'm Dr. Joy Goldberg and I am a pediatric neuropsychologist with over 15 years of experience working in both pediatric hospitals and school systems completing neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents. I am currently on staff at National Jewish Health as an associate professor in pediatric neuropsychology and I am also an adjunct professor at the University of Denver where I teach graduate level neuropsychology courses.

I have also been a board member and general member of various neuropsychology and educational groups across the United States in order to continue learning updated strategies to support families. I am dedicated to supporting parents and school personnel, by providing evidence-based recommendations for children/adolescents who may be coping with challenges related to various mental health, learning, or medical diagnoses. My goal is to try and make learning easier for children/adolescents and improve their socialization and quality of life.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching my favorite sports teams, traveling with my husband, and playing with my adorable English Bulldog.

"Growing Minds" represents our growth as parents and caregivers, but also the changes in the developing brains of our children.

Here you'll find practical and accessible tools and strategies through articles, handouts, videos, and courses. We are excited you're here and look forward to growing with you!

“The Growing Minds course has been invaluable to our family. The kids know what to expect and I get less frustrated from giving constant reminders.”
